AKAI KIT-DR16PRO Hard Disk Recorder Upgrade kit for DR16. With this installed in the DR16, It allows to handle the 24-bit/96kHz format data, similar to the Dr 16Pro.Please note the following: * The 24-bit/96kHz operation is only available in the digital domain. * The headphone produces noise as the headphone signal not be available from the CPU board. * The REMOTE port is no longer functional. The controls are now available through the Ethernet port (AKAINET) * The optional IB-801S SCSI interface board (for external PC control), IB-809E Ethernet interface board (use onboard AKAINET instead) and IB-807V VGA board for the DR-16 cannot be used. After the installation of Kit-DR16Pro, the operations of the modified DR16 will be the same as that of the DR16Pro, except for the limitations listed above. Please refer to the DR16Pro operators manual provided for its operation.
